The Gay Farmer
Meet Mark Dyer, the founder of The Gay Farmer olive oil. The idea for The Gay Farmer came to Mark in the beginning of 2008 after doing his first olive harvest on his mother’s small holding in Moratalla, Spain. The oil from that harvest tasted wonderful and the thought came to him to import it to the UK and sell it to the local delis, wholefood, and grocery stores.
As word spread of his olive oil adventure, Mark’s friends began joking with him asking, “so what are you now dear, the gay farmer?” Wanting to embrace his identity positively, he agreed, and The Gay Farmer was born!
